Facial Soap - Oily Complexion
The ideal facial soap for oily skin complexions prone to blemishes that can be used on the face, forehead, chest, upper back and shoulders. Activated charcoal is known to unclog pores, remove impurities & toxins from the skin and act as an anti-inflammatory. Slate kaolin clay is useful on oily, tired and sensitive skin. Tea tree essential oil can reduce redness, swelling and inflammation in addition to its anti-bacterial properties. The base oils and butters contained in this recipe are known for their anti-bacterial properties, do not clog pores and can aid the appearance of scar tissue. Argan oil is the final luxurious touch that acts as the sur-fat in this bar and is known to treat acne, promote healing and moisturize. This is a powerful, deep-cleansing, drying soap with a recommended use of 1 to 3 times per week.

Soap etiquette:
To prolong the lifespan of this handcrafted soap the use of a draining soap dish or a soap saver is recommended. Always keep it dry between uses and away from direct streams of water and daylight. The high glycerin content in handcrafted soap is wonderful for the skin but must dry between uses. Glycerin being a humectant attracts water and if left standing in it will become soft and wash away much faster. Unused soaps should be stored in a cool, dry place, preferably not the bathroom due to the high humidity but for example in a linen closet or drawer that offers a stable dry environment.
