Facial Soap - Dry/Mature Skin

This gentle facial soap for dry/mature skin has been specially created for the face but can be used for the body if so desired.

Aloe vera is known for its anti-inflammatory properties as well supporting the production and release of collagen.

French green clay tightens the pores and stimulates blood flow which used regularly can help maintain skin elasticity, thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Frankincense essential oil has anti-bacterial properties and is thought to benefit dry, mature skin, scars, and wrinkles in aromatherapy.

Lavender is a staple essential oil that is naturally anti-inflammatory & antiseptic and is thought to reduce scarring, redness and itchiness in sensitive skin.

Geranium essential oil is believed to have an astringent effect which allows the skin to tighten thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and is rich in antioxidants.

The base oils and butters contained in this recipe are known for their anti-bacterial properties and do not clog the pores. Apricot kernel oil acts as the sur-fat in this bar to condition, moisturize and nourish the skin in depth, without leaving a greasy feel.

This Aloe Vera bar of soap can be used daily.

Soap etiquette:

To prolong the lifespan of this handcrafted soap the use of a draining soap dish or a soap saver is recommended. Always keep it dry between uses and away from direct streams of water and daylight. The high glycerin content in handcrafted soap is wonderful for the skin but must dry between uses. Glycerin being a humectant attracts water and if left standing in it will become soft and wash away much faster. Unused soaps should be stored in a cool, dry place, preferably not the bathroom due to the high humidity but for example in a linen closet or drawer that offers a stable dry environment.
